Being a corporate business website, one of the most important things I took in consideration when designing this layout was the user interaction with accessibility and, most of all, usability.
The markup had to be full W3 compliant, browser compatible, with little use of tables (as I am more confident with divs).
The only programming part done was on the frontend, using javascript for a collapsible panel on the right.
